Getting to Jaipur
Jaipur is situated in close proximity to New Delhi, and also has its own international airport. There are various ways of getting to our wedding venue, Hotel Rudra Vilas.
1. You can fly to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, from where you can get picked up by a personal cab to be driven directly to the wedding venue. It is approx. a 4.5 hour drive from the Delhi airport.
2. If you're traveling from within India, you can also check for flights coming into the Jaipur International Airport and be picked up by a personal cab to be driven directly to the wedding venue. It is approx. a 15 min drive from the Jaipur airport.
Your initial destination in India will depend on your complete travel plans.

Getting to Kolkata
Kolkata is situated in the east of India, and would require you to travel by plane into Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.
1. You could take a direct flight from Jaipur into Kolkata. From there, you can hail a cab to your booked hotel. IndiGo airlines has options for direct flights running all day.
2. You could also travel via Delhi. You could hail a cab from Jaipur to Delhi to take a flight into Kolkata. From there, you can hail a cab to your booked hotel. Various airlines have direct flights running all day.
Uber is very conveniently available in Kolkata and can be used to get around the city comfortably.

As you prepare for your trip to India, you might want to spend some time exploring Delhi, Jaipur and Kolkata outside of the wedding festivities. Whether you’re arriving early or extending your stay, we’ve got you covered with some top hotel recommendations to make your trip comfortable and enjoyable. As a reminder, your accommodation for 5th & 6th Jan has been taken care of. We do request you to make reservations if you’ll be joining us in Kolkata.
For peace of mind, we recommend sticking to well-known hotel chains like Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, and Taj. Below are some suggested areas and hotels in Delhi, Jaipur and Kolkata to help you plan your stay.
Delhi
Areas: Aerocity (close to the airport), Connaught Place, Chanakyapuri

Keep in mind, December and January are peak travel seasons in India, so it’s essential to book your accommodations as soon as your plans are set.

India is massive and it would make sense to add extra days to your trip to explore. Here are some suggested itineraries that can help you get started:
Option 1:
Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Kolkata (10-11 days)
Delhi (1-3 Jan): Explore India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Lotus Temple and Red Fort. You can also shop for wedding outfits during this time.
Agra (4 Jan): Visit the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Mehtab Bagh.
Jaipur (5-6 Jan): Wedding festivities
Jaipur (7-8 Jan): Visit Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Jantar Mantar, local markets.
Kolkata (9-10 Jan): Wedding Reception; Visit Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Park Street, New Market.
You can either depart from India from Kolkata, or fly back to Delhi to catch a flight back home.
Option 2:
Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Goa (14 days)
Delhi (2-4 Jan): Explore India Gate, Qutub Minar, and Old Delhi
Jaipur (5-6 Jan): Wedding festivities
Jaipur (7-8 Jan): Visit Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Jantar Mantar, local markets.
Kolkata (9-10 Jan): Wedding Reception; Visit Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Park Street, New Market.
Goa (11-13 Jan): Visit Old Goa, Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral, Fort Aguada, Chapora Fort, Baga beach, Calangute beach, local markets in Anjuna and Mapusa.
Mumbai (14-16 Jan): Explore Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Elephanta Caves, and Colaba Causeway.
You can depart from India from Mumbai.
Option 3: In case you won’t be joining us in Kolkata
Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan (13-14 days)
